What kind of Connection do I need?

1.  You need an internet connection.  An Internet connection is required to obtain your syllabus and course assignments.  You can obtain access to the internet at the college library or use your own internet connection.  You may access your class web site using a dial-up connection, however, some items on the site may load slowly.

How do we communicate with this course?

Student Contact. The instructor will contact the students by sending messages to their individual e-mail account.  It is important that you check for e-mail messages from your instructor, as they will provide pertinent information about your course.  If your email account changes at any time you should forward your new address to the instructor immediately.  If you lose internet ability, you should contact your instructor via mail or phone as soon as possible.

Discussion Postings.  These are a means of communicating and sharing with the course, with other students and the instructor.  You are required to do two postings for each Chapter, a paragraph minimum, with either your sharing key points, reflecting on material, or commenting on another student or the instructors postings.  These discussions are "threaded" postings, which are added to during a semester by various students in our courses.
